Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy is written in plain language to accurately describe what this tool actually does. It isn't a substitute for legal advice — if you're relying on this for a business with real compliance obligations, have a lawyer review it for your specific situation and jurisdiction.

The short version

You can use Keeper Board's core features — building a keeper board from any public ESPN league ID — without creating an account or providing any personal information at all. Creating an account is optional and only needed if you want your saved leagues and Keep Rd edits to persist between visits. We don't sell your data, and we don't collect any more than what's needed to make the account features work.

What we collect

If you don't create an account

We don't collect anything that identifies you. Your browser sends the ESPN league ID you type in to our server, which forwards the request to ESPN's own public API and returns the result — nothing about that request is stored afterward.

If you create an account

DataWhy we collect it
Email address, and a password (if you choose password sign-in instead of a magic link)To authenticate you and let you sign back in
ESPN league ID(s) you saveSo you can quickly rebuild the board for that league without re-typing it
League nameCosmetic — fetched from ESPN's public data for display purposes only
Keep Rd edits you've made for a saved leagueSo your customizations persist between visits
Settings (keepers per team, undrafted-player round default, which team is "yours")Same — persisted so you don't have to reconfigure them each time

We do not collect or store your ESPN password, ESPN session cookies, payment information, or any ESPN account credentials of any kind. Linking a league only requires its public ID — nothing about your ESPN login is ever requested.

How your data is stored

Account and saved-league data is stored in a hosted Postgres database (via Supabase), with row-level security policies restricting each account's data to that account only. The app is hosted on Vercel, which also runs the server-side functions that talk to ESPN's and Fantasy Football Calculator's public APIs on your behalf.

Cookies and local storage

If you sign in, your browser stores a session token locally (via browser local storage, not a traditional tracking cookie) so you stay signed in between visits. This is used solely to keep you authenticated — it isn't used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We don't currently run any analytics or advertising on this site. If that changes in the future (for example, if display ads are added), this policy will be updated first, and any advertising partner's use of cookies for ad personalization will be disclosed here before it goes live.

Children's privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way — particularly around advertising or new data collection — we'll update the date at the top and note the change here.
